Cyberonix Experts, LLC (“Cyberonix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides software expert witness and technical consulting services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information through https://cyberonixexperts.com and communications related to website inquiries.
This policy covers our public website and related business inquiries. It does not comprehensively describe information processed in client engagements, recruitment, employment, or contractor relationships, which may require additional notices and agreements. Nothing in this policy limits rights or obligations under applicable law.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you submit a contact form or communicate with us about an inquiry, we collect the information you provide. This may include:
- Your name, company or organization, email address, and telephone number.
- Your professional role or business contact information.
- Information about services you are considering.
- Your comments, questions, and other correspondence.
Some contact-form fields are required to submit an inquiry.
Please do not submit source code, confidential evidence, privileged communications, passwords, government identification numbers, financial account information, health information, or other sensitive material through our general contact form. Contact us first to arrange an appropriate method for sharing confidential materials.
Information collected automatically
Our website and the providers supporting it collect technical and usage information. Depending on the technology and its configuration, this may include:
- IP address and browser, device, and operating-system information.
- Pages visited, referring pages, visit times, and website interactions.
- Cookie identifiers, advertising click identifiers, and similar online identifiers.
- Approximate location derived from technical information.
- Information used to identify spam, automated activity, security incidents, and technical problems.
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and through the service providers described below.
Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads collection, including enhanced conversions, is subject to your approval through our cookie consent banner and the privacy choices described in Section 5. Technical information needed to operate and secure the website may still be processed if you decline optional tracking.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and communicate about our services.
- Evaluate potential engagements and conduct related business follow-up.
- Check for conflicts of interest before accepting an engagement, and maintain the records needed for future conflict checks.
- Maintain contact records and track lead status.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
- With your approval of optional tracking, understand website traffic and measure advertising effectiveness, subject to the privacy choices described in Section 5.
- Protect the website and our business against spam, fraud, unauthorized access, and misuse.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Submitting an inquiry does not mean you have agreed to receive marketing communications unrelated to your inquiry.
If we send promotional communications, applicable marketing requirements govern those communications. You may request that we stop promotional communications by contacting us or using an unsubscribe mechanism included in the message.
3. Contact forms, email, and HubSpot
Our website uses Gravity Forms to process contact-form submissions.
Submissions are emailed to info@cyberonixexperts.com, a Google Groups address that distributes messages to authorized Cyberonix team members. Copies may be stored in recipient inboxes and, depending on the group’s settings, group-message archives.
We also use HubSpot to process information from inquiry emails for contact management and lead-status tracking.
These services process information contained in your inquiry as needed to support those functions. Please limit your initial submission to the information needed for us to understand and respond to your request.
4. Cookies, analytics, advertising, and security tools
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Website tags and similar technologies can also collect or transmit information when a page loads or a visitor interacts with it.
We use a cookie consent mechanism that allows you to approve or deny optional Google Analytics and Google Ads tracking. These tags, including enhanced-conversion collection, remain inactive unless you approve. If you deny optional tracking, we do not activate those tags or send their analytics, advertising-measurement, or enhanced-conversion requests. Necessary website operation and security processing are described separately below.
Google Analytics
When you approve optional tracking, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website and to improve its content and performance.
Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies to process information about visits and interactions, including pages viewed, referral sources, online identifiers, and browser and device characteristics.
Google Ads and enhanced conversions
When you approve optional tracking, and subject to the GPC opt-out described in Section 5, we use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether advertising leads to actions such as submitting an inquiry.
Subject to the same approval and opt-out controls, we also use Google Ads enhanced conversions. In connection with a contact-form conversion, the Google tag may collect contact information you enter, such as your email address and phone number, convert it into a hashed (coded) value in your browser, and send that value to Google. Google uses it to match your submission to earlier interactions with our ads so we can measure advertising performance. Submitting an inquiry does not by itself approve this tracking; it is controlled by your cookie consent choice and the GPC handling described in Section 5.
Hashing transforms contact information into a coded value for matching. It does not mean the information is anonymous.
Google’s analytics and advertising technologies can associate website interactions with online identifiers and other information, including information about activity over time and across websites, depending on the applicable service, account settings, and user preferences.
Learn more about these services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Google reCAPTCHA and website security
We use Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated activity and prevent spam and abuse. It processes technical and interaction information, which may include IP address, browser and device characteristics, and interactions with the website, for security and risk analysis.
Our website also uses hosting, maintenance, and security services that process technical information needed to provide their functions.
5. Your tracking choices
Approving or denying optional tracking
Our cookie consent banner lets you approve or deny optional Google Analytics and Google Ads tracking, including enhanced conversions. We do not activate those tags before you approve them. If you deny them, they remain inactive. Continuing to browse the website or submitting a contact form does not by itself count as approval.
Your cookie consent choice applies to the browser and device on which you make it. You may need to make a choice again when using another browser or device or after clearing stored site data.
Changing your choice and browser controls
To make a new choice, clear this website’s cookies and stored site data in your browser, then revisit the website and use the consent banner. To stop optional tracking in a browser you previously approved, clear that stored data and deny optional tracking when prompted. This does not delete inquiry emails, CRM records, or information already received by a provider; contact us for requests concerning those records.
You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect website functions. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop every form of data collection.
Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported Analytics collection. You can also manage certain Google advertising preferences through Google My Ad Center.
These Google tools provide additional controls for particular services. Our website consent mechanism controls the activation of the optional Google tags described above. Necessary operation and security processing, including the reCAPTCHA processing described in Section 4, may continue when you deny optional tracking.
Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) is a browser signal that communicates a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws. When we detect a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and disable Google Ads conversion measurement, including enhanced conversions, for that browser, even if optional tracking was previously approved. Google Analytics remains subject to your separate approval or denial of optional tracking; a GPC signal does not by itself mean that all website cookies or security processing are disabled.
Where applicable law requires an opt-out to extend to personal information we can associate with you beyond the current browser, we apply it accordingly. You may also contact info@cyberonixexperts.com for requests concerning contact information you previously provided. A GPC signal does not itself request deletion of inquiry emails or CRM records.
Do Not Track
“Do Not Track” (“DNT”) is a browser setting that expresses a tracking preference. Because there is no common standard for interpreting DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to them. GPC signals are handled as described above.
For questions or privacy requests, contact info@cyberonixexperts.com. An email request does not itself change your browser settings or automatically block website tags.
6. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients as appropriate:
- Website and IT providers: Providers supporting hosting, maintenance, contact-form processing, security, storage, and technical support.
- Communications providers: Google and other providers supporting email delivery and related storage.
- Customer relationship management providers: HubSpot, for contact management and lead-status tracking.
- Analytics and advertising providers: Google, for the measurement and related processing described above.
- Professional advisers: Legal, accounting, insurance, and other advisers where relevant to legitimate business or legal needs.
- Legal and security recipients: Authorities, courts, and other parties when required by law or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property.
- Business transaction participants: Relevant parties and advisers in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal requirements.
- Recipients you authorize: When you direct or authorize a disclosure.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, some privacy laws may treat certain disclosures through advertising technologies as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even when no money is exchanged. For the optional Google tracking described in this policy, you may deny approval through our cookie consent mechanism. We also disable Google Ads conversion measurement, including enhanced conversions, when we detect a GPC signal, as described in Section 5. You may contact us with other privacy requests, including requests concerning information you previously provided.
7. Retention
We retain inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and conduct related follow-up. Because we must check for conflicts of interest before accepting engagements, we may retain basic records of inquiries, such as the inquiring person, organization, and matter described, for as long as needed for that purpose, which may extend for the life of our business. Copies of inquiry emails may also remain in recipient inboxes and, where enabled, group-message archives until deleted.
Related contact and lead records may also remain in HubSpot. Analytics and advertising information is retained according to the applicable service settings and processing arrangements.
Factors relevant to retaining or deleting information include responding to an inquiry, maintaining a resulting business relationship, checking for conflicts of interest, preserving relevant business records, security needs, applicable legal obligations, and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
You may contact us to request deletion. We evaluate requests under applicable law and any relevant exceptions. Deleting a record from one system does not necessarily immediately remove copies from all backups or other systems.
8. Access, correction, deletion, and other requests
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
Depending on your location, the law that applies, and any applicable exceptions, you may also have rights concerning portability, withdrawal of consent, objections to processing, or opt-outs from certain advertising-related processing or disclosures.
To submit a request:
- Email info@cyberonixexperts.com.
- Call 888-668-8391.
- Write to the address below.
Please explain your request and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. Where appropriate, we may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority. Please do not send sensitive identification documents unless we request them through an appropriate process.
We respond as required by applicable law. Rights may be subject to exceptions, including legal recordkeeping requirements, the protection of other people’s information, and, where permitted by applicable law, retaining limited records for conflict-of-interest checks. We will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Where applicable law permits an authorized agent or provides an appeal or complaint right, contact us using the details above to exercise that right. You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator where available under applicable law.
9. Processing locations
Cyberonix is based in the United States and markets its services in North America.
We and our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries where relevant systems or personnel are located. Privacy laws and government access rules may differ between countries.
Applicable legal requirements govern international processing and transfers. Visiting the website does not itself provide every consent or authorization that applicable law may require.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures appropriate to the personal information we process. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Please use our general contact form only for initial inquiries and arrange an appropriate method with us before sending confidential or sensitive materials.
11. Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Third-party links
Our website may link to websites operated by others. Their information practices are governed by their own privacy notices. Review those notices before providing personal information.
Third-party technologies operating within our website are addressed in the relevant sections of this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date.
We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law before implementing relevant changes.
