Mehdi Tarrit Mirakhorli, PhD, is a software expert witness and Professor of Computer Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where he directs the Indo‑Pacific Cybersecurity & Software Assurance Laboratory. His work bridges software architecture, secure‑by‑design engineering, and AI‑enabled assurance.
Previously, Dr. Mehdi Tarrit Mirakhorli served as Director of Research and Endowed Kodak Scholar at RIT’s ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute. From 2022–2024, he was a Program Manager (CTR) at CISA/DHS, advancing national‑scale initiatives aligned with EO‑14028. He has led $21M+ in grants and contracts across DHS/CISA, DARPA, DoD/USAF, NSF, and NIH, and has authored 100+ publications spanning software security, architecture, vulnerability intelligence, and AI for software assurance.
